13/14 Competition

Coaches: Jorge Silva(email) and Nathan Meadows (email)

Overview: Our 13-14 Competition program is our transitional group. Swimmers in this group will have had formal swim team training in the past and will be transitioning from age group to senior levels in the sport. This group was created to ease the transition from our Junior Competition program to our Senior Competition program.

Making all practices per week is HIGHLY recommended. In addition, all swimmers in 13-14 Competition are expected to attend all PVS meets in which TIBU participates. Swimmers will be expected to train consistently throughout the year in order to attain their personal goals.  This group requires a strong commitment; athletes must have coach’s approval to join.  Swimmers who cannot meet the commitment level of this program should instead enroll in our Senior Prep group.

Target Meet(s): Junior Olympics, IMX, Zones, and Sectionals

Meetings: regularly scheduled group meetings, parent education meetings, and conferences (swimmer/parent/coach)

Nutrition: education provided on what is necessary to reach peak performance

Goals: swimmers enrolling in this group should have a set of goals
